| Dear
Reader, |
This
year at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Open Screen
Project™ made headlines with a big announcement:
The Adobe® AIR® runtime is going mobile. This
marks the second mobile runtime available through the
Open Screen Project, with support for the Google Android™ platform
expected in 2010. (Check out this issue's Adobe Feature
for more info.) Adobe also announced that a beta of the
first mobile runtime from the Open Screen Project, Adobe
Flash® Player 10.1, was made available to content
providers and mobile developers. So check out the Featured
Video demos of Flash Player 10.1 on mobile screens, and

AIR gets a new playground: mobile devices |
| The
latest announcement from Adobe and the Open Screen
Project is the next natural step in cross-screen

APP SHOWCASE |
| Fund update |
| In
our first year, the Open Screen Project funded
over 50 apps. With the upcoming release of Flash
Player 10.1, we are looking for websites and applications
that improve the mobile web browsing experience.
We will be giving special attention to applications
that provide complementary Flash experiences outside
the browser packaged with Adobe AIR or Nokia WRT
depending on targeted devices. |
